First night in Barcelona was shot with some top-of-the-line digital equipment that equals the resolution of 35mm film (I think they were called RED cameras) for close-ups and the likes. Second night was shot using standard HD stuff (whatever that means) for wide shots.

The film was produced and edited in HD.

Depeche Mode Live Blu-ray Coming Up

The first live Blu-ray from the electronic music band Depeche Mode is coming soon. On November 9 (one day earlier in the UK), EMI-Mute will release Depeche Mode: Tour of the Universe - Live in Barcelona, shot over two nights in Barcelona, Spain during their recent tour in support of the Sounds of the Universe album. It will be presented in two BDs, with extra tracks, a tour documentary, videos, and the "screen films" specially created by Anton Corbijn.
