Yes, the four kings were costumed fans travelling from Murcia. Great fun having them around and they were very poular. They even threw their (plastic) crowns to Dave when he was at the catwalk. He made a joke about it, putting one of the crowns as a belt later on (!).
The sphere/ball thing was lowered down and fixed with. Some lights were out but it was hastily taken care of. No probs.
The stadium did look pretty empty in some seated sections, but man, what a crowd. One of the best I've experienced in some years. A lot a spontanous singalongs from the crowd. The spanish anthem "oey-oey-oey-oeyyyyy", the happy-birthday-Andy-song, justcantgetenough ("lalalalala version") and others. During ETS Dave went to the catwalk and let a young girl (age 10?) sing, great moment. Ofcourse, Peter G backed up the audience singing "Happy Birthday". ING and WIMS got wonderful receptions from the audience, just as Home (nice singalong there as well also continueing after the song had ended, led by Dave). FOTW did not work that well imo. My spot was second row to the right of the catwalk and I had an absolutely stunning view.
I'm very happy I caught this gig. A small but very warm crowd (as always in Spain). The band looked in great form and it looks good for the coming shows. Can't wait to see the last concert of the european leg in Seville on sunday - it's gonna be hot!

After I Feel You, Dave went over to Christian for a second then he turned to the audience and said 'there's a special occasion that we can't let go by unnoticed today - Fletch's birthday' and then we sang, with Peter playing the melody. Fletch was so happy, but he didn't know what to do, so he even started singing along too!!!

Весело там было!
