While Depeche Mode gear was fetching record prices in Manchester the 80's music blog Slicing Up Eyeballs reported that members of Depeche Mode and Glasvegas have recorded U2 covers. The covers are said to be part of the 20th anniversary reissue of "Achtung Baby" (1991), which will be out in November in a various formats including an 'ueber deluxe' edition of US$660,19 in the USA (EUR 297,99 in Europe). For that you gets CDs, DVDs, vinyls, postcards, books and much more.

"Achtung Baby" is the 7th studio album by U2. Produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, it was released on 19 November 1991 on Island Records. U2 began recording "Achtung Baby" in Berlin's Hansa Studios in October 1990 and completed the material in Dublin in 1991. The album has sold 18 million copies worldwide.

Members of Depeche Mode and Glasvegas each have revealed that their bands have recorded new U2 covers that appear to be connected to the Irish megaband’s 20th anniversary reissue of Achtung Baby, which arrives in November in a variety of formats including a $660 “uber deluxe” edition stuffed with CDs, DVDs, vinyl and more.

While U2 has not announced any kind of cover-version component to the forthcoming reissue, Depeche Mode’s Andy Fletcher, in a press conference in Belarus that was uploaded to YouTube today, says, “We have just done a cover version of a U2 track, which will be released in November.” Fletcher, who was in Minsk for a DJ gig, doesn’t elaborate in the short clip, which you can see below.

Короче я за перепев,интересно было бы слухнуть,хотя творчество U2 не очень мне как то.
